1949 World Series action photo showing Pee Wee Reese tangled up with the Umpire as a wild pickoff throw sails into the outfield. Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson comes into the play to help but it is too late, Phil Rizzuto has gone to third base and Tommy Heinrich is seen gliding into second base. The Yankees would again prevail over the Dodgers in the series making the Bums wait once more for their turn to be champions. The image is a clear and bold original from the New York Daily News and stamped on the back with a handwritten note as to the date and event as well. A beautiful photograph!
